Rajasthan CET: Common Eligibility Test for 12th & Graduate Level Posts
The Rajasthan common Eligibility Test (CET) is conducted by the RSMSSB. It serves as the common screening examination for recruitment to various Rajasthan Government posts. Instead of appearing for separate preliminary examinations for every recruitment, candidates now take the CET once with a 3years validity and can use score to apply for multiple vacancies released by different departments.

Whether you are preparing for Patwari, junior Assistant, VDO, Hostel superintendent, Supervisor, Platoon commander, or several other government posts, qualifying the CET is the first step towards your government career ahead.
What is Rajasthan CET?
The Rajasthan CET is a common eligibility examination, not the final recruitment exam. Candidates who secure the prescribed qualifying score (40%) become eligible to apply for the recruitment examinations conducted by various departments whenever vacancies are announced. There are two separate examinations:
Senior Secondary (12th Level)
Graduate Level
Each examination has its own eligibility criteria and covers different categories of government posts. The CET is conducted by the Rajasthan Subordinate & Ministerial Services Selection Board (RSMSSB). It acts as a qualifying filter for various departmental exams. So, this of it as the base camp before you climb the mountain of government jobs in Rajasthan (Not necessary for all but, asked in many exams).
Latest CET Rules (2026)
The latest Rajasthan CET guidelines include several important changes:
CET score is now valid for 3 Years.
Candidates can appear multiple times to improve their score.
The highest CET score remains valid.
Recruitment departments prepare merit according to their recruitment rules.
CET is only an eligibility examination and does not guarantee selection.
Candidates must still apply separately whenever recruitment notifications are released.
